Pronouncing つ (Tsu)

Asked 8 years ago

I realized I was pronouncing it wrong. It is a little tricky and I hope I'm not the only one having trouble. How do you pronounce it correctly?

You could also try saying "pant suit", but combine it and say it fast as if it's one word "pantsuit". Say it a few times until you get the feel for the "tsu" in the middle. It literally should sound like "su" with a slight "t" sound before it.

If you're still having trouble with the pronounciation you try prolonging the "u".

You can hear that in the lesson: "T" Sounds: Hiragana from た to と

Then keep on shortening it untill it is a fast "tsu".
