How to write the name Sachiko with "O-" honorific prefix?

Asked 7 years ago

Hello, I was wonderfing if anyone could tell me the correct way to apply the old-fashioned "O-" honorific prefix to the name Sachiko. Accoding to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honorific_speech_in_Japanese#Female_names common suffixes such as "ko" would be dropped, so Hanako would be O-hana with the "O-" honorific prefix, Harumi would be O-haru.

So would Sachiko then become O-sachi with the "O-" honorific prefix applied?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated on this. Thanks in advance,

Yes!  Your guess is right.  I have a friend whose name is Sachiko.  And, I call her O-sachi.
