Pants not being Pantsu but Zubon

Asked 7 years ago

Hello, I think that

Zubon should be Trousers
Pantsu should be Pants

The way you made it is confusing(Zubon being pants) and I think that they took more words from British English so it should be in British English, but I might be wrong.

Know someone who might be able to answer this question?

If I understood your question correctly, I would agree that Zubon should be translated as Trousers.  The problem is that Pantsu can mean both "underwear" and "trousers," especially for younger Japanese people.

It can be confusing even for Japanese people, so if you want, you can use Zubon for Trousers, and Pantsu for underwear.

Hope this helps!
