Why won't this work?

Tech support contacted me and said that it isn't possible to post images in a group chat. Even though there is an image-link button, it looks like that functionality isn't supported.

With flickr, it's a bit annoying.  

Per Flickr guidelines:

The direct link to a photo file is no longer shown on the page. Per the Flickr Community Guidelines "pages on other websites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr." Linking directly to the photo file doesn't do this.

Basically, Flickr doesn't want you hotlinking to images. :)  You'll need to share it via imgur.

Also, you can't just simply put a path to the file on your computer.  This image needs to reside somewhere on the Internet.
