然う, そう



adverb (fukushi)

  • in that way (concerning the actions of the listener or concerning the ideas expressed or understood by the listener; with a neg. sentence, implies that something isn't as much as one might think)
  • thus

interjection (kandoushi)

  • so (used to express agreement with something said)


  • so? (used to express some doubt with something said)

Examples of 然う,そう in a Sentence

Does your back hurt? "No, not really." "Oh, that's something then, isn't it?"
Now that I am a grownup, I think otherwise.
I dislike shopping every day but I must do so.
Now that I am teacher, I think otherwise.
Since he says so, it must be true.
I didn't go out at all because you told me not to.
Since you say so.
If I were rich, I would study abroad, but as it is I can't do so.
I'll try to meet your wishes.
She said that by way of apology.
