I would probably choose 期待, but that's just me. I do feel mildly uncomfortable telling someone else what to put on his body forever. As someone with many tattoos myself, I think they're something that should come from your own heart and life experience. I would keep looking until you find kanji that speak to YOU personally. (This is only my opinion. Of course, you're free to do whatever you like!) Wishing you luck in your endeavors....

Welcome to Nihongomaster themoniac! As to your request for my opinion on kanji I don't think I am the right person to be asking since I have only been studying kanji for about a year. I wouldn't want you to get a tattoo based on my limited kanji knowledge.
